# Starting a workflow from a Zoom event

## Available triggers

- **Meeting Ended** — gives you the meeting ID, topic, start and end times and the participant count.
- **New Meeting Registrant** — gives you the registrant ID, email and name. You can limit it to one meeting ID.
- **New Webinar Registrant** — the same, for a webinar.

## Set the endpoint up in Zoom

Zoom does not let an app subscribe an endpoint on your behalf, so this part is done by hand once per workflow:

- Add the Zoom trigger to your workflow and save. Orchestration shows you the **Event notification endpoint URL** for that workflow.
- In **marketplace.zoom.us**, open your app and go to **Feature → Event Subscriptions**. Add a subscription and paste the URL.
- Copy the app's **Secret Token** from Zoom into the **Signing secret** box on the trigger. This is required — without it the URL will not validate.
- Add the event types you want and save. Zoom validates the URL immediately; the workflow answers the check for you.

## Why the secret token is required

The endpoint is public — it has to be, for Zoom to reach it. Every inbound request is checked against a signature computed from that secret, and anything that does not match is rejected without running your workflow. Leave the box empty and Zoom's own URL validation will fail, which is the safe outcome rather than an endpoint anybody could fire.

Each workflow has its own endpoint URL. If you rebuild a workflow from scratch, update the URL in Zoom to match.
