# Connect Zoom to Meeting Calendar

## What connecting Zoom does

Once you connect Zoom, any event type whose location is set to **Zoom** gets a brand new Zoom meeting for every booking. The invitee receives the join link in their confirmation email and on their calendar invitation. You do not create anything by hand, and you do not reuse your Personal Meeting Room, so two bookings can never land in the same room.
## Before you start

- You need a Zoom account that can schedule meetings.
- Your TotalCtrl administrator must have added Zoom credentials under **SuperAdmin → OAuth Providers → Meeting & Calendar**. If Zoom is missing from your settings page, that step has not been done yet.

## Connect it

- Open **Meeting Calendar → Settings**.
- Under **Video conferencing**, choose **Zoom** and select **Connect**.
- Sign in to Zoom and review the permissions. Approve them to return to TotalCtrl.
- The Zoom account's email address appears beside the connection, so you can confirm which account is attached.

## Use it on an event type

- Open the event type you want to hold on Zoom.
- Set **Location** to **Video call**, then pick **Zoom**.
- Save. The next booking on that event type gets its own meeting.

The connection belongs to you, not to your workspace. Colleagues connect their own Zoom accounts, and each person's bookings are created on their own account.
