# Belonging to multiple workspaces

## One account, many workspaces

Your TotalCtrl login is a single account tied to one email address. That one account can now belong to **several workspaces** at the same time — for example, your own company and a client's workspace where you collaborate as a guest.

You're always working in **one active workspace at a time** (like switching teams in Slack). Everything you see — data, apps, settings — belongs to the active workspace, so nothing ever mixes between them.
### How you join another workspace

An admin of another workspace adds your email. If you already have a TotalCtrl account, they don't create a new one — they simply add that workspace to *your* account, and you'll get an email letting you know. You keep your same login, password, and 2FA.
