# Adding someone who already has a TotalCtrl account

## Inviting people across workspaces

When you invite someone (to the workspace, or to an app like Time Tracking, Issues, or Customer Success) and that email already belongs to a TotalCtrl user, they are **added to your workspace directly** — no second account, no "use a different email" error. They get a confirmation email and can switch into your workspace from their workspace menu.

If the email is brand-new to TotalCtrl, they receive the usual invitation to set up their account.

Either way, each person keeps a single login. Their role and app access in *your* workspace are independent of any other workspace they belong to — someone can be an admin in one place and a guest in another.
