# Working with Tasks

## Creating a task

Click the **+** button at the bottom of any column, type a title, and press Enter. To add more detail, click the task card to open the detail panel.

## Task fields

  
- **Title & description:** A rich-text description to provide context.
  
- **Assignee:** Any project member can be assigned. They receive an in-app notification.
  
- **Priority:** Low, Medium, High, or Critical — colour-coded on the card.
  
- **Due date:** Overdue tasks are flagged visually on the board.
  
- **Labels:** Colour-coded tags you define per project (e.g. "Bug", "Feature", "Blocked").
  
- **Subtasks:** A checklist of smaller steps within a task. Progress shows as a fraction (e.g. 3/5) on the card.
  
- **Attachments:** Upload files up to 25 MB each (images, PDFs, Office documents, ZIP).
  
- **Custom fields:** Admins can add project-specific fields (short text, long text, dropdown, yes/no) under *Project settings → Custom fields*.

## Moving tasks

Drag a task card from one column to another. You can also open the task detail and use the **Move to column** dropdown.

## Comments & activity

The task detail panel shows a full activity log — every field change, assignee update, label addition — alongside a comment thread. @mention team members in comments to notify them.
