# See who is reading a page

**Category:** [Wiki](https://help.totalctrl.app/hc/totalctrl/totalctrl-help-center/en-US/categories/wiki)
**Updated:** 2026-10-04

## Opening it

The view count under a page's title is a button. Clicking it shows views over time and who has read the page recently.
## Reading the numbers

- **The headline is all-time.** It does not change when you widen or narrow the chart — a total that moved with the date range would make "97 views" mean nothing.
- **The chart is the window you chose**, with quiet days shown as zero rather than skipped, so the line does not run straight through a week nobody visited.
- **The trend compares the window immediately before it.** Growth from nothing is shown as "up from 0" rather than a percentage, because a percentage of zero is not a number.

## Views and viewers are different

Views counts every read. **Recent viewers** lists up to ten distinct *people*, most recent first — one person refreshing ten times is one viewer, not ten. Reads by somebody signed out are counted in the views total and cannot be attributed to anybody.

Somebody who has since left the workspace shows as *Former member* rather than disappearing, so the count and the list agree.
