# Sync your platform data

**Category:** [Ad Manager](https://help.totalctrl.app/hc/totalctrl/totalctrl-help-center/en-US/categories/ads-1)
**Updated:** 2026-08-19

## Why sync

A sync pulls your latest structure and numbers from a connected platform into Ad Manager: ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, and daily performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, spend, conversions, and revenue.
## Run a manual sync

- Go to **Connections**.
- On the connection you want to refresh, trigger a **sync**.
- Ad Manager runs a structural sync and reports the result, including how many records were updated and any error message.

You can sync each connected platform independently, which is useful right after connecting or whenever you've made changes directly on the platform.
## What the dashboard shows after a sync

- **Per-platform campaign counts** across Meta, Google Ads, and LinkedIn.
- **Active campaign count** measured against your plan's limit.
- **Rolling 7-day spend** grouped by platform.

## Troubleshooting

If a sync fails, the result message usually points to the cause. The most common one is an expired or revoked connection. Run a **health check** on the connection (see [Connect an ad platform](connect-an-ad-platform)); if it reports an error, reconnect the platform and sync again.
