# Organize with subcategories

Categories can contain subcategories, so you can group related topics under a parent.
## Create a subcategory

- Go to *Categories*.
- Add or edit a category and set its **parent category**.

## Viewing

In the Categories list, a parent with subcategories shows an expand arrow and a count. Expand it to see its subcategories, which are indented beneath the parent so the hierarchy is clear.
