# Templates, automation, and integrations

Document Signing connects to the rest of TotalCtrl:

- **Templates** — save a document and its field layout to reuse for documents you send often.
- **Orchestration** — trigger workflows when an envelope is sent, viewed, completed, or declined; or use the *Send document for signature* action to send a template automatically.
- **Webhooks** — subscribe to `envelope.sent`, `envelope.viewed`, `envelope.completed`, `envelope.declined`, and `envelope.voided` events.
- **API** — list, fetch, send, and void envelopes under `/api/v1/signing` with an `app:signing`-scoped token.
- **AI** — generate a plain-English summary and extract key terms from any uploaded document.
