# AI Issue Investigator: confirm what's happening across sessions

## From one session to the whole story

A single AI summary tells you about one recording. The **Issue Investigator** works backward across a whole cohort of sessions to confirm what's actually happening.
## Run an investigation

- Go to **Session Replay → Investigations** (or click *Investigate with AI* from Analytics).
- Choose a symptom: **High-struggle sessions**, **Sessions with errors**, **Rage-click sessions**, or ask a **custom question** like "Why are users abandoning the checkout page?"
- Optionally narrow by look-back window, device, or a URL fragment, then run it.

## What you get

Within about a minute the agent returns a confirmed finding:

- a one-line **headline** of what's happening;
- the **affected segment** (pages, devices, conditions);
- **how widespread** it is, with cohort stats;
- a **likely root cause** and **confidence**;
- **representative sessions** you can open and watch;
- a **recommended next step**.

The agent reads session *signals* only (pages, errors, struggle) — never personal data — and its usage counts toward your workspace AI Units.
