# Drafting answers with AI

## What a run does

**Draft answers** works through the response's open questions, using your answer library and your knowledge sources. Each question ends up with a draft, an inserted library answer, or **Needs input**.
## It runs on our side, not in your browser

Start it and close the tab if you like — the run carries on, and the notification tray tells you when it is finished. It commits as it goes, so nothing already written is lost if something goes wrong part-way.
## One run at a time per response

Two runs on the same response would bill the same questions twice and race each other writing answers. **Cancel** stops at the next batch rather than mid-question, so an answer is never left half-written.
## Press it again after adding knowledge

A second run picks up **Needs input** questions as well as unanswered ones — the reason anybody presses Draft twice is that they have added the source that answers them. It skips whatever the current run has already attempted, so it cannot loop.
## Review everything

A draft is a draft. It is written from your own library and sources, but this is a document that goes to a customer and may become contractual — the review states exist so somebody signs off before it leaves.
