# Configure project billing and budgets

Each project can be configured for billing under *Time Tracking → Projects & Budgets → Configure*.
## Billing settings

- **Billable** — whether time on this project can be invoiced.
- **Billing mode** and **default hourly rate** for the project.
- **Currency** — choose a per-project currency, or leave it on the workspace default.

## Budgets

Set a budget in hours or amount. Time Tracking warns as you approach it (alerts fire at 75%, 90% and 100% of budget), and the Projects & Budgets table shows live budget burn per project.
## Per-member rate overrides

On the same page you can set a specific rate for an individual person on this project — the most specific rate in the precedence chain.
