# Product analytics over the API

**Category:** [Product Adoption](https://help.totalctrl.app/hc/totalctrl/totalctrl-help-center/en-US/categories/product-adoption)
**Updated:** 2026-10-04

## Endpoints

All four need a token with access to Product Adoption, and all four are read-only.

- `GET /api/v1/platformmessaging/features` — your labeled features and how many distinct people used each.
- `GET /api/v1/platformmessaging/funnel` — pass `steps` as a comma-separated list of feature ids or event names, in order. Optionally `window_hours`.
- `GET /api/v1/platformmessaging/paths` — page-to-page movement. An empty `from` is where a visit started; an empty `to` is where it ended.
- `GET /api/v1/platformmessaging/retention` — weekly cohorts. Optionally `weeks`.

## If analytics is switched off

These return an error naming that, rather than an empty result. An empty list and a disabled setting look identical in a chart, and only one of them is fixed by changing a setting.
## From the assistant

The same three reports are available to the AI assistant and to MCP clients as `platformmessaging_funnel`, `platformmessaging_top_features` and `platformmessaging_paths`. All are read-only, so they run without stopping to ask for approval.
