# Sharing a chart

**Category:** [Org Charts](https://help.totalctrl.app/hc/totalctrl/totalctrl-help-center/en-US/categories/org-charts-1)
**Updated:** 2026-10-04

## Inside TotalCtrl

Set the chart to **Everyone in the workspace** and send the link. Colleagues need the Org Charts app to open it.
## A live embed for a website or intranet

Turning on **Live embed** gives you a URL you can put in an `iframe`. It shows the chart as it stands right now — edit the chart and the embed follows, with no re-publishing.
## The embed link is the permission

Anyone holding that URL can view the chart, without signing in and whatever the chart's visibility setting says. That is what makes it embeddable on a public page, and it is why the link is a long random token rather than the chart's name.

Treat it like a password. Turning the embed off stops the link working immediately.
## Export to your wiki

**Export to Wiki** creates a wiki page containing the live chart — not a picture of it. The page shows the chart as it stands whenever somebody reads it. It needs the Wiki app.

**Exporting to the wiki turns the live embed on.** It has to: the wiki page displays the chart through the same embed link. So exporting a private chart makes it reachable by anybody holding that link, not only by people who can open the wiki. If that is not what you want, turn the embed off afterwards — the wiki page will then show nothing.
