# Onboarding checklists

## Build an onboarding checklist

A checklist is a persistent panel that shows your users a list of getting-started tasks with a progress bar — it stays available as they work, rather than running as a one-time sequence.

- Create a flow of type **Checklist**.
- Add a step for each task — the **title** is the task name, and the first **button** is the action (mark done, or open a URL to the relevant page).
- Publish it. The checklist appears in the corner of your product; users check off tasks and watch their progress fill.

When a user finishes every task, the checklist is marked complete and fires the `platformmessaging.checklist.completed` webhook so you can celebrate or trigger a follow-up.
