# Newsletter Overview

## What is Newsletter?

Newsletter lets you publish and send branded email newsletters to a dedicated subscriber list — separate from CRM campaigns. Designed for ongoing publications (weekly updates, product news, industry digests) with their own subscriber management.

## Key concepts

  
- **Newsletter:** A named publication with its own sender identity, branding, and subscriber list.
  
- **Edition:** A single issue. Editions move through: Draft → Scheduled → Sending → Sent.
  
- **Subscriber:** An external recipient with statuses: Pending, Active, Unsubscribed, Bounced, or Complained.

## Email compliance

TotalCtrl automatically adds a **List-Unsubscribe** header (RFC 8058 one-click) and an unsubscribe link in every email. Hard bounces and spam complaints are added to a suppression list.
