## What is the MCP server?

TotalCtrl exposes a **Model Context Protocol (MCP)** server — a JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP interface that allows AI assistants (such as Claude) to call TotalCtrl tools directly. This enables AI-driven workflows that read and write to your workspace without custom API integration.

MCP tokens are scoped to your organisation and carry the same permissions as an admin API token. Rotate or revoke MCP tokens from the MCP Connectors page at any time.
