# Import content from Confluence

## Bring existing docs into your wiki

If your team is moving from Confluence, you can bulk-import an existing space export instead of recreating pages by hand.
## Export from Confluence first

In Confluence, export the space you want to migrate as an **export ZIP**. Save the file somewhere you can find it.
## Run the import

- Open the target wiki and go to **Import**.
- Upload your Confluence **export ZIP** file. The importer only accepts `.zip` files.
- The import runs and reports when it has **completed** or if it hit an error.

The wiki must be **enabled** to import into it. Once the import finishes, your pages appear in the wiki where you can organize them into [spaces](create-and-organize-spaces) and review them.
## After importing

- Review imported pages for formatting and fix any links that did not carry over cleanly.
- **Verify** the pages your team relies on so readers know they are current — see [Verify pages and manage staleness](verify-pages-and-manage-staleness).
- Use the [AI assistant](find-answers-with-ai-search) to confirm the newly imported content is searchable.
