# Full HTML email/page templates

## When you want total control
Sometimes you want to hand-author an entire HTML document — doctype, ``, styles, and all. Creator's **HTML Template** content type gives you a full-document source editor with a live preview, separate from the rich-text/block editors (which only produce body fragments).
Create one in Creator, build your markup, and reuse it: in a CRM Journey step or the Newsletter composer, **Load from HTML Template** copies the HTML into your editor to edit. It's a copy, not a link.
