# Sync your HRIS (BambooHR)

Treat your HR system as the source of truth for employment data so the directory always reflects reality.
## Connect BambooHR

- Open *Integrations* in the directory.
- Under *HRIS*, choose BambooHR, enter your subdomain and API key, and pick a sync frequency (hourly or daily).
- Save, then use **Sync now** to pull immediately.

## What syncs

Employees are upserted by work email — name, job title, department, manager (matched by their HRIS id), and contact details. Departments are created automatically. Each run records its status and a summary.
## Direct vs. unified

BambooHR connects directly (you just need a BambooHR account). The connector is provider-agnostic, so additional HRIS systems can be added over time.
