# Grow and manage your subscribers

## Ways to add subscribers

- **Subscribe page** — every newsletter has a hosted public page where people enter their email and name.
- **Embeddable widget** — drop a small script tag into any website to render an inline subscribe form.
- **CSV import** — upload a file with `email` (and optional `first_name` / `last_name`) columns. The import reports how many were added, skipped, or invalid.
- **Manual add** — enter a single address from the Subscribers page.

## Double opt-in

Turn on double opt-in in Settings to require new form sign-ups to confirm via email before they become active. They sit in `pending` until they click the confirmation link. Manual adds and CSV imports skip confirmation and go straight to `active`.
## Subscriber statuses

Each subscriber is `active`, `pending`, `unsubscribed`, `bounced`, or `complained`. Filter the list by status to see who is reachable. You can unsubscribe or delete a subscriber manually from the list.
## Suppression list

Addresses that hard-bounce or file spam complaints are automatically added to your account suppression list and will never receive future sends. You can also add or remove addresses manually in Settings.
## Synced with your contacts

Every subscriber is linked to a CRM contact and the shared contact directory automatically, so list activity appears alongside the rest of that person's record.
