# API & webhooks

Engage exposes a REST API under `/api/v1/engage/` (authenticated with your API token + secret):

- `GET /engage/segments` — list segments with live counts.
- `POST /engage/messages` — send a message to a contact through the full consent gate.
- `POST /engage/identities` — register or opt a contact in/out of a channel.
- `POST /engage/outcomes` — record a conversion attributed to a message.

### Webhooks & automation

Subscribe to `engage.message.sent`, `engage.message.delivered/opened/clicked`, `engage.campaign.sent`, `engage.journey.completed`, and `engage.outcome.recorded`. The same events are available as triggers in the Orchestration app, so you can start workflows when Engage fires — and the Engage tools are available to the AI assistant via MCP.
