# Tidying up a messy list

**Category:** [Data Tables](https://help.totalctrl.app/hc/totalctrl/totalctrl-help-center/en-US/categories/data-tables)
**Updated:** 2026-10-04

## Three operations

- **Find and replace** in one column, case-insensitive by default.
- **Tidy whitespace** — trims the ends and collapses runs of spaces inside a value.
- **Remove duplicates** on one column, ignoring case and ignoring blanks. The *first* matching row is always the one kept.

## Preview first, always

Each one tells you how many rows it would change before you commit to it.
## All of them are undoable

A bulk change is a single entry in History carrying the previous value of every row it touched, so undoing it puts them all back — even across thousands of rows.
