# AI Video Generation in Creator

## Generate video alongside your other content

Creator can generate short AI videos the same way it generates images — pick **Video** as the asset type in the creation wizard, describe what you want, and Creator produces an 8-second clip with native audio using Google's Veo models.
## Quality tiers

Every video is generated at one of three quality tiers, each mapped to a different underlying model and AI Unit cost:

- **Good** — fast and affordable; best for drafts and social clips.
- **Better** — balanced quality and cost; the default for most content.
- **Best** — highest fidelity; for hero or flagship videos.

Pick the tier on the **Video** step of the wizard, or when regenerating from the editor. Workspace admins can see the AI Unit cost of each tier before generating.
### Configuring tiers (SuperAdmin)

Super admins choose which Veo model backs each tier, and set its AI Unit multiplier, under **AI & LLMs → Multipliers → Video Generation Quality Tiers**. Because video models vary enormously in cost, each tier has its own multiplier instead of the single flat multiplier used by other apps.
## Aspect ratio

Choose **Widescreen (16:9)** for landscape video or **Vertical (9:16)** for mobile / Stories / Reels-style content. These are the only two ratios Veo supports.
## Reference image (image-to-video)

Optionally attach a reference image on the Video step. Creator passes it to Veo as the starting frame, so the generated video is directed by — and stays visually consistent with — that image, rather than starting from the text prompt alone.
## Generation takes a minute or two

Video generation runs in the background. The wizard (and the editor, when regenerating) shows a progress indicator while Veo renders the clip — it's safe to navigate away and come back; the asset's status updates to **Ready** automatically once the video finishes, or shows an error message if generation failed.
## Regenerating from the editor

Open any video asset and use the **Regenerate** panel to refine the prompt, change the quality tier or aspect ratio, or swap the reference image, then generate a new take. The previous video is replaced once the new one is ready.
## Requirements

Video generation needs a Gemini API key configured with video generation access under **AI & LLMs** (either a dedicated *Video Generation* slot, or Creator's own Gemini profile). If no key is configured, the Video option in the wizard is disabled with a link to set one up.
