# Create your first asset

## Start the wizard

From the Creator dashboard or the Assets list, click **Create**. The guided wizard walks you through a few short steps.
## Step 1 — Choose a type

Pick what you're making — a Document, Blog Post, Email, Social Post, Story, Photo Book, and so on. The type shapes how the AI structures the result (for example, Email produces a subject line; Social Post produces per-platform variants).
## Step 2 — Write the brief

Give your asset a **title** and a **brief** describing what you want. Then set:

- **Tone** — Professional, Conversational, Persuasive, Friendly, and others.
- **Audience** — General, Executives, Customers, Prospects, and more.
- **Campaign** — optionally file the asset under an existing campaign.

## Step 3 — Add sources

Pull in context from other apps in your account or from connected services. See [Use sources and connectors](use-sources-and-connectors).
## Step 4 — Generate

Click **Generate**. Creator streams the draft in real time, then moves the asset to `ready` and opens it in the editor. If generation fails (for example, no AI model is configured), the asset returns to `draft` so you can try again.
