# Create and edit a page

## Create a new page

- From a wiki or space, choose **New page**.
- Pick the **space** it belongs to (and optionally a parent page to nest it under).
- Optionally start from a **template** — built-in templates and any your team created appear in the picker and pre-fill the page.
- Give the page a **title** and start writing.

## The editor

Pages use a rich block editor. You can add a **page icon** and a **cover image**, and link to other pages by mentioning them. Your work is saved automatically as you type, so there is no separate save button to remember.
## Editing an existing page

Open any page and choose **Edit**. Changes autosave, and each save creates a new entry in the page's history. Note that editing a **verified** page clears its verified badge, so it can be re-checked — see [Verify pages and manage staleness](verify-pages-and-manage-staleness).
## Comments and watching

- **Comment** on a page, including on a specific selection of text, and resolve comments once handled.
- **Watch** a page to get notified when it is edited or commented on. You control whether you are notified on edits, comments, or both.

## Deleting a page

Deleting a page **archives** it rather than erasing it, so its history is preserved and it can be recovered.
