# Connect Standards to your apps

## How connections work

Standards only deliver value when other apps use them. **App Connections** let you choose which TotalCtrl apps draw on a package's glossary, style rules, and tone profiles when generating or assisting with content. The supported apps are **Creator**, **Wiki**, **Newsletter**, **Help Center**, and **Community**.
## Connect from a package

- Open your package and go to **App Connections**.
- Tick each app that should use *this* package.
- Save. Each ticked app is enabled and pointed at this package.

If you untick an app that was pointing at this package, it is turned off. An app already pointed at a different package is left untouched, so packages don't overwrite each other.
## Connect from the hub-wide settings

The hub-level **App Connections** page gives a single view of every supported app. For each app you can toggle it on or off and choose which package it should use from a dropdown. This is the quickest way to see, in one place, which package each app is wired to.
## Preview the result

Use the **preview** tool to enter a sample prompt and a language and see exactly what Standards context an app would receive — the relevant glossary terms, style rules, and tone — before you rely on it in production.
