# Creating Jira tickets from TotalCtrl

**Category:** [Jira & Confluence](https://help.totalctrl.app/hc/totalctrl/totalctrl-help-center/en-US/categories/atlassian)
**Updated:** 2026-10-04

If your developers work in Jira, you don't have to copy issues over by hand. Once Atlassian is connected, TotalCtrl can raise Jira tickets directly.
## From an accessibility scan

- Open a completed scan report in the **Accessibility** app.
- Click **Create in Jira**.
- Choose the Jira project and the issue type (defaults to *Bug*).
- Confirm — one Jira issue is created per failing rule.

Each ticket includes the rule, its impact, the WCAG criteria, a link to guidance, and the list of affected elements and pages, so a developer can act on it without opening TotalCtrl. Tickets are labelled `accessibility` so they're easy to filter in Jira.

When it's done you get a direct link to open the work in Jira.
## Prefer to keep work in TotalCtrl?

The **Create tickets** button next to it does the same thing in TotalCtrl Issue Tracking instead — including screenshots of the failing elements. Use whichever fits your team; you can use both.
