# AI Auto-Tag: automatic tagging for your assets

## Tags without the busywork

When AI Auto-Tag is on, every asset you upload is analysed in the background and given a set of descriptive tags automatically — so your library stays searchable without anyone hand-tagging files.

- **Images** are read by a vision model that describes the subject, setting, colours, and style (e.g. *product photo, laptop, desk, blue, minimal*).
- **Text, HTML, and documents** are read by a text model that suggests topical tags from the content.
- Other file types are skipped — there's no reliable signal to tag them from.

Suggested tags are **merged** with any tags you entered yourself; the AI never removes your tags. Suggestions are capped so the tag list stays tidy.
## Turning it on

Go to **Assets → Asset Settings** and toggle **AI Auto-Tag**. It applies to new uploads from that point on. Tags feed both keyword filtering and Smart (semantic) search.
## Editing tags

Open any asset and edit its tags as pill chips — type to add, click ✕ to remove. You can always refine or replace what the AI suggested.
