# Proving it: the audit record

## Who turned it off, and when

The AI & LLM page shows the current state, the date and time it was changed, and the person who changed it. That is usually the first thing an auditor or a security questionnaire asks for.

Turning AI off and turning it back on are both written to the workspace **Audit Log**, with the user, the timestamp and the action. Look for *AI Turned Off For Workspace* and *AI Turned Back On For Workspace*.
### Checking AI usage before and after

The same AI & LLM page shows AI Unit usage for the current month, broken down by app. With AI off, that figure stops increasing — which is a straightforward way to demonstrate the switch is doing what it says.
### Answering a security questionnaire

If you are completing a vendor questionnaire, the useful facts are: the control is workspace-wide, admin-only, enforced server-side on every path including background jobs and the API, effective immediately, fully reversible, and recorded in an audit log with the user and timestamp.
