# Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from the TotalCtrl mobile app, under **Settings**.

**This cannot be undone.** Deleting your account is immediate and permanent. If you only want to stop receiving email, unsubscribe instead — that leaves your account intact.
### What happens

- You are signed out on every device, straight away.
- Your email address is released, so it is no longer attached to any account.
- Your name, phone number and profile picture are removed.
- Signing in again becomes impossible — by password, by Apple, or by Google.

### Signing up again later

You are welcome back at any time. Because your email address was released, registering again creates a completely new, empty account. It will not restore anything from before.
### If you are the only administrator

Your account can still be deleted. If other people use the workspace, the longest-standing member becomes the administrator and is told by email, so the workspace is never left without an owner. If nobody else uses it, the workspace is closed along with your account.

If you would rather choose who takes over, make that person an administrator before you delete your account.
### Confirming

You will be asked to type **DELETE**, and to re-enter your password if your account uses one. Accounts that sign in with Apple or Google are not asked for a password, because they do not have one.
